Magnolia Montessori School was founded by a Montessori teacher, Ayfen Haryono, and her husband, Andreas Guntoro, who works independently fixing computers. They work together and have turned the entire, light-filled main floor of their home into Magnolia Montessori School. They reside in a charming and separate, lower-level apartment.
Ayfen is a certified Montessori teacher for primary classroom. She has been working as a Montessori teacher since 2001. For the last 7 years, she led the 3-5 year old classroom at Discovery Montessori School in Magnolia and now is very excited to start her own school.
A lifelong musician, Ayfen, has been teaching youth piano lessons in the Magnolia area for the past 5 years. She brings depth and sophistication to the music program at Magnolia Montessori.
They both grew up in Indonesia and enjoy enhancing Montessori multicultural studies with their personal language and culture.

Words from Parents:
We recently moved our son to Magnolia Montessori School and we couldn't be happier. The care at Magnolia Montessori School is exceptional. We completely trust Miss Ayfen with our son. Miss Ayfen and Miss Ashley are great at communicating what is going on with our child and what he is learning. Miss Ayfen sends out weekly emails notifying parents what is coming up for the next week. Magnolia Montessori School nurtures children and provides a great environment of respect, self-expression and learning. We consider ourselves very lucky to be there! - Susan Wyrick -
We intentionally followed Ms. Ayfen to Magnolia Montessori School and have been thrilled with the positive growth our son is making both academically and socially.
In choosing a preschool for our son, there were specific attributes we were looking for in a school and happily found each of these as core attributes at Magnolia Montessori School:
·Positive Reinforcement: The learning activities we engage our son in at home are positively reinforced at school and vice versa. We feel all the teachers at Magnolia Montessori School are partners with us on our son’s education and personal development.
· Consistency: Receiving consistent, effective communication on the school’s weekly activities and its relationship to our son’s learning gives us an understanding of what topics will be learned and discussed.
· Caring: The teachers at Magnolia Montessori School are openly passionate about what they do and truly care about the impact they make on children’s educational foundation and everyday lives.
· Trust: We trust the teachers at Magnolia Montessori School as educators, caregivers and as positive role models in our son’s daily life.
·Community: Our son is proud of his personal accomplishments as well as his school, classmates and teachers and is enriched by these relationships. At the end of each school day he is so excited to share what they did, how much fun they had doing it and what he learned!
We are very pleased to have our son attend Magnolia Montessori School! It is a fun, happy and special place to grow! - Sheilah & Adan Jaramillo
